Fabulous Finds Under Forty
One of my favorite things about Summer is shopping for sandals. I usually have three goals when I go sandal shopping:
1 – Find a pair of athletic and comfy sandals that I can wear when I’m playing with TJ, hanging out in my yard, or enjoying a baseball game.
2 – Find a pair of sandals that can be worn casually or dressed up, depending on what I wear them with, but are still comfortable and cute.
3 – Find a pair of fun, bright, high-heeled sandals that are all about wearing for an evening out with Mike or my girlfriends.
This week, I decided to just focus on one of these goals – Number 2: A comfy and cute pair of sandals that can be dressed up or worn casually. And since I can’t purchase anything for another 310 Days due to the 365 Day Challenge (not that I’m counting ;), I’m going to have to once again live vicariously through all of you. When I’m looking for a pair of shoes to accomplish Goal #2, I usually try to find something in a neutral color that is either in a flat or a wedge. I love wedges because they give you the look of a heel without killing your feet. They can also be worn as a casual shoe or dressed up.
The first shoe I found that I would be purchasing if I could would be The Dollhouse Expose Wedge Sandal from DSW for $29.95. Available in Cognac and Black, this shoe is adorbs! Not only would this shoe look great with a simple pair of denim shorts, but it would also compliment a cute pair of capris for an evening out. The allover stud embellishments give this simple sandal a little bit of an edge to make it perfect for day or night.
Next we have The Studio Paolo Maya Beaded Thong Sandal from JC Penny for $32. Available in Black and Brown with beautifully colored beads, these charming and sophisticated sandals are perfect for a day at work or an evening out with the girls.
Lastly, we have The Etienne Aigner Peanut Wedge from 6pm.com for $39.99. This is a little more toward the end of Goal Number 3, but the neutral color and lower heel has me keep it in Number 2. This wedge would be super cute with Bermuda shorts or even full-length jeans. They’d also look great with a skirt or capris.. Love these!
Click on the images above to add these casual and comfy, yet go-out and work ready sandals to your closet! So cute!!!
