What I Found in my Closet this Week…

**Loose Tunics, White Bermudas, & Colorful Wedges**

My favorite thing about the style that is trending for 2013, is how loose and comfortable everything is. I’ve always loved the long and flowing style of the Tunic so I was thrilled when this design hit the runways setting it as a huge trend this season. This may sound like a gigantic fashion faux pas to some, but I’m particularly fond of wearing maternity shirts and belting them. Some of the maternity shirts on the shelves this season (and always 🙂 ) are cuter than the regular women’s sizes. So, if you see a maternity shirt you’re in love with, don’t be scared to purchase it for your closet. The important thing is to make sure it fits well around the chest and shoulders. Then throw a cute chunky or skinny belt on and you’re set! Adorable!

In this week’s What I Found in my Closet this Week, I’ve featured three separate pieces that can be worn with several different things. In this picture, I’m just getting ready to go out for a casual lunch date with my little guy. I am wearing a CAbi sleeveless tunic (I featured CAbi in What I Found in my Closet…Week #12), Bermuda shorts in white (I wear these all the time with tons of different tops), and some colorful wedges that match my shirt perfectly (the picture doesn’t quite pick up how well they match). I belted the top and was set for a casual day out. I also love throwing my hair in a messy side pony…something kind of fun and different.

The other day I was perusing through Target‘s website and found an assortment of pieces that were similar to my outfit…colorful tunics, Bermudas, and fun wedges…at great price points. The first thing I looked at were the adorable tops. The first is this adorable Baby Doll Top for only $17.99. This shirt has a high-low feature, coming below your rear in the back and being a little higher in front. Perfect for summer! If you’re not comfortable with a strapless top, throw on a cute open-knit cami…just as adorable!

I also love the maternity section from Target. They have great tops that are long and loose. Love this Liz Lange top for $19.99. Put a belt on with it and the fit is perfect. Make sure when ordering a top like this that it fits well in the chest and shoulders.

I’ve been very impressed with Target’s shoe selection this summer. They have a new brand called Sam & Libby that carries sandals that remind me a lot of Sam Edelman sandals. Love these two! They have that bright color every outfit needs in the summertime!
