What I Found in my Closet this Week…
(Day 127 of the 365 Day Challenge)
**Sleeveless Dress with Full Skirt**
One of my favorite style of dresses to wear for summer are dresses that have an empire waist and a short, full skirt. I love these type of dresses because they pull in at the smallest part of my body and hide any imperfections other dresses might highlight. As many of you know, one of my favorite colors to wear during the summer (and all other times of the year 🙂 ) is pink. I’m also in love with the beautiful coral and orange colors that so many designers have put out this season. Add a cute pair of nude heels and you’re set for an elegant evening out. I used to be a big fan of black shoes with bright colored dresses but have fallen in love with the nude shoe during the summer months. This color looks great with anything and gives it a light, summery feel.
This past weekend, Mike and I had a formal event to attend. This was a challenge for me because, as many of you know, I would typically go out and buy a brand new dress to wear for the occasion. This time I had to dig through my closet to see what I could find, and I ended up being very pleased with the selection 🙂 The dress I found is one that I bought four or five years ago at Macy’s. I love that it comes in right under my chest and flares out into a full skirt. Typically, I would wear a chunky black belt with this dress, but I forgot to pack it 😦 But I still liked the dress without it. However, I would suggest always trying a chunky or skinny belt with a dress of this style.
There are many places to find Sleeveless Dresses with Full Skirts. A classic look, this style works well for every occasion and is sure to stay on trend for years to come. Younkers has some great deals on dresses right now. I’m particularly fond of this Calvin Klein dress in Sunset Orange (also available in yellow, another color I’m loving this season!) on sale for only $39.99. That’s nearly $60 off the regularly listed price. Click on the picture to purchase this adorable dress for your own closet!
