Insanity & Running Hybrid Schedule

PicMonkey Collage33

I love the Insanity workout videos by Shaun T.  Last summer I was introduced to this workout program for the first time and fell in love with it, along with all the Beachbody products.  I much prefer working out in my home over going to a busy, packed gym and this workout program was better than any workout or class I could take at our former fitness facility.

Because this workout program is so physically demanding, I was unable to keep running last summer like I had hoped, however, I loved the definition that the Insanity DVDs allowed me to achieve.

The definition I gained after 60 days of Insanity.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to tackle the Insanity program again, but tweak it a little so I can still run a couple of days a week.  After my upcoming half marathon on May 31, I want to take a little break from distance running and really focus on toning and strength.  So on June 9, I will be starting a 9 week program that will involve all the Insanity videos and a little bit of running to satisfy my addiction for hitting the pavement during some of our most beautiful months of the year 🙂

This schedule will include 5 days of workouts with one recovery workout day and one rest day.  The first four weeks will use the Month 1 Insanity videos with a recovery week built-in before tackling the higher intensity Month 2 videos for the last 4 weeks.

Along with this workout program, I will substitute Shakeology  for one meal a day, 5 days a week (M-F).  I invite any of you to join me for this 9 week program and see what kind of results you can achieve by the beginning of August, just in time for one of the hottest months of  summer and a great time to show off your results.  I will be posting about my workouts regularly on my Get Fit with Debbie Facebook Page and on my Twitter account.  If you’d like to join me, I encourage you to share your journey with me on one of these two pages.

If you do not already have the Insanity workout program, you can purchase them on my Beachbody page by clicking on this link: http://teambeachbody.com/shop/-/shopping/Insanity?referringRepId=257827

I would also strongly encourage you to give Shakeology a try for these two months.  To learn more or to purchase, visit my website at: http://www.shakeology.com/fitnfabfoody  My favorite flavor is chocolate, however, I do switch it up in the summer a little between vanilla and greenberry for a more tropical taste.  If you have any further questions, feel free to email me at fitnfabfoody@gmail.com

Below is the workout schedule I will be following beginning June 9.  You can change the time or distance for your two runs during the week to fit your liking.  Can’t wait to get started!
